He is an expert in and has pioneered advanced technology in housing, winning the National Association of Home Builders’ Best Green Built Demonstration Home for the PATH Concept Home, featured in Fine Homebuilding magazine. This year, The Taunton Press published Fernando’s sixth book, “Building an Affordable House: Trade Secrets to High-Value, Low-Cost Construction.”

Gally Mayer, an investment banker turned philanthropist and restaurant owner, is helping to change the world one coffee cup at a time. As co-owner of Buena Vida Specialty Coffee, Gally works with small coffee farmers in Costa Rica to help fight for prosperity coffee pricing so 80% of current worldwide coffee growers can lift out of poverty. She is on the board of advisors of Kiss the Ground and actively involved in promoting and explaining the importance of regenerative agriculture for the health of the planet, the farmers and the consumers.

Since founding Barn2Door in 2015, she has led the company from initial ideation to the market-leading solution serving thousands of farmers in all 50 states. Janelle has deep roots in agriculture and has built her career pursuing her passions at the intersection of food, farming and technology.

Laura is also a brand ambassador for the Sustainable Furnishings Council, working to increase awareness for sustainable design.

For more than 30 years, Laura E. Kohler has been a business leader at the forefront of driving purposeful change in the workplace and the world. As Kohler’s Chief Sustainable Living Officer, she brings her experience in marketing, communications, human resources and sustainability to lead the company’s efforts to help people live a sustainable lifestyle, adopt behaviors and make conscious choices to minimize their impact on the planet. Laura serves as the chair for Kohler’s Trusts for Clean Water, Arts and Education, and Preservation. She is also on the boards of Kohler Company, Bank First Corporation, Duke University’s Trinity Board of Visitors and the President’s Climate Task Force, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, the Kohler Foundation, the African Wildlife Foundation and the National Housing Endowment.

She leads a team of scientists, consumer product specialists and editorial experts to create science-backed content and industry-leading events, report on consumer behaviors and trends, assess items for the GH Seal and evaluate products, among other editorially driven, revenue-generating innovations. Laurie is a sought-after speaker for events like CES, SXSW and the Global Wellness Summit and has been a judge for awards from ASME and Digiday. She is also a passionate sustainable living champion, spearheading Good Housekeeping’s efforts across content, product testing, events and awards.

Molly Braverman is the Director of the Broadway Green Alliance. She previously served as the Managing Director of Theatre Horizon, a non-profit professional theatre company in Norristown, PA. She has worked as a stage manager on Broadway, touring Broadway and regionally, having spent three years on the road with the national tour of “Wicked.” Molly has spoken extensively on sustainable theatre and stage management and is currently a senior consultant in strategy and operations for theatre projects.

Patricia Bell is a professor of industrial design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Patricia has worked as a research engineer, industrial designer and consultant on many products relating to medical training, wearable technology and robotics. She has degrees in industrial design and mechanical engineering. Her background in human factors research has helped her mission to reduce design complexity while improving product functionality and repairability. Her work toward sustainability focuses on improving the user experience and the product life cycle.

Patty Dominguez is the Vice President of Business Development for Cosentino Americas, responsible for generating business development in all commercial channels and playing a pivotal role in Cosentino’s growth strategy for the coming years. She also spearheads the brand’s entry into new revenue streams, including residential and commercial furnishings. Throughout her 17-year tenure with the manufacturer, Patty has played a pivotal role in elevating the brand by strategically cultivating deep relationships and new business opportunities that have led to the company’s exponential growth in the United States.

Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant is a wildlife ecologist and the first Black and first female cohost of “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” on NBC. She is a research faculty member at the University of California, Santa Barbara Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, leading carnivore research on the Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve. A mother of two, Rae is passionate about science communication and is also the creator and host of the award-winning podcast “Going Wild With Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant” (produced by PBS’ Nature) and author of the forthcoming book “Wild Life: Finding My Purpose in an Untamed World.”

Sheila M. Morovati is the founder of two international nonprofit organizations, Crayon Collection and Habits of Waste, where she works to leverage human behavior and social dynamics to create accessible and innovative climate solutions. Her work has been credited with diverting billions of pieces of single-use plastic from the waste stream. Sheila is the author of the forthcoming book “Imperfect Environmentalist: How to Reduce Waste and Create Change for a Better Planet,” which encourages individuals to fight climate anxiety and harness their collective power for change. Sheila was born in Tehran, Iran, and now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
